The Brief
The Brief is a series of mini documentaries produced for 9Now and YouTube by Nine’s Longform Current Affairs and Investigation unit, a collaboration between 60 Minutes Australia and the 9News Video Content Team.
The Brief takes existing, incremental news packages and voice overs from 9News, The Today Show, A Current Affair and 60 Minutes and reworks them to produce a “Brief” - 10-20 minute digital docos that explain topics and stories in depth.
As a founding producer on this series, Henry compiles and restructures archival stories to better suit a mid-form documentary structure and works with reporters to write new links, giving old packages a new lease on life. Henry also looks after in-story motion graphics, vertical video excerpts and social media promotion of individual episodes.
