BLACK LIVES MATTER RALLY: SYDNEY 2020

Central News reporters covering the Black Lives Matter rally in Sydney on June 6 found thousands united in the fight to end Aboriginal deaths in custody.

The rally was an extension of protests in the US over the police killing of George Floyd, and was only authorised at the last minute after a successful appeal against a Supreme Court ban.
Protestors remembered Indigenous man David Dungay Jnr. who, like George Floyd, died while being violently and unnecessarily restrained.
